IGIC is now accepting nominations for the 2012 Board of Directors! Board members play a vital role in shaping IGIC's projects, policies and initiatives throughout the year. Self-nominations are strongly encouraged.
IGIC Board Members attend Board meetings, serve on at least one committee or workgroup per year, and act as a primary point of contact for GIS coordination issues to their representative sector. Board members also perform GIS outreach, and act as moderators at the annual Indiana GIS Conference. More information can be found in the IGIC Handbook.
The three-year term begins at the IGIC Annual Business Meeting, February 23, 2012 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Board members also receive points toward their GISP.
To ensure all geographic regions of Indiana are represented, this year IGIC is introducing three new seats on the Board of Directors. These Regional At Large positions are open to anyone working in the Southwest, Southeast and Northeast areas, as defined on this map
