Venue
We love having our annual conference in Bloomington. Just an hour south of Indy, Bloomington is nestled in the rolling hills of southern Indiana, and is the home to Indiana University. Bloomington’s motto is “the soul of a big city but the heart of a small town, with something to offer everyone”, and we will definitely take advantage this venue – with IU’s spring semester ending right before our conference, we have the whole town to ourselves, plus easy access to the IU computer lab facilities at Well Library and Woodburn Hall for our hands-on GIS workshops.
The convention center and conference hotels are right downtown, located just a few blocks from Bloomington’s historic courthouse square and revitalized shopping, and eating district with a vibrant night life.
