Based on the success of IGIC's County & City/Towns breakout sessions held at the 2009 Local Government GIS Coordinators Forum, we are planning a similar event at the conference. Three concurrent Birds-of-a -Feather breakout sessions will be held during the Wednesday morning breakfast session from 7:00 to 8:30 am at the convention center.

City & Town Government
Higher Education
To ensure that everyone can speak freely and openly, only people from each sector may attend that sector's meeting. All other conference attendees will eat breakfast in great hall / exhibition area.
These sessions provide the opportunity for conference attendees from each sector to meet with their peers from across the state and participate in a candid and open discussion of their GIS issues and concerns. Each session is informal, but will be moderated by IGIC Board members representing each sector.
The IGIC moderators will compile a list of issues discussed at the breakfasts and present a summary of the meeting to the entire conference during the Wednesday Afternoon closing "Town Hall Session." The closing Town Hall session will also include an "Open Mic Session" to encourage further exchange of ideas regarding the advancement of GIS in Indiana.
