The Central United States Earthquake Consortium (CUSEC) conducted a CAPSTONE-14 Exercise the week of June 16th.
It was the largest ever of its kind in the U.S. designed to strengthen partnerships between local, state, and federal governments while engaging private and public sector entities in planning mitigation, response, and recovery efforts.
The event simulated a large [8 state] regional response to a major earthquake in the Central United States.
Geospatial data and technology played a significant part in the information sharing and data visualization components of the CAPSTONE-14 Exercise .
