- Meet with lawmakers in key Standing Committees (Technology, Economic Development, Homeland Security, Budget/Finance, etc.) to promote the benefits of GIS and the IndianaMap.
- Educate statewide organizations, Indiana universities, and others to support and include IGIC’s GIS initiatives in their legislative platforms.
- Advocate for permanent base level funding for GIS at the local and state-wide level.
- Advocate changes to language in existing Indiana Code to remove needless distinction of electronic map (geospatial) data/databases from other public data/databases
