GLO-Doc

Abstract:
AT LAST! Critical information scanned and organized. An easy way for Surveyors, Foresters, Hydrologists, and Genealogists to find and access Historical Land Records for Indiana.

IGIC applied for and received a small grant from the” State Historical Restoration Advisory Board” (SHRAB) to scan some of the “IN State Archives – Historical Land Survey Records”. The goal: scan the documents, create an index, and make them publicly accessible online.

Additional funding is needed to complete an inventory, file naming, and linking the scans to IndianaMap. The Pilot Project processes and results will be presented along with a pilot demonstration of results on IndianaMap.
