Description: Shaun Scholer, Gunty Atkins, Wayne County demonstrate the feasibility and show the process of rectifying large-scale electronic Sanborn map pages for communities within counties. Hundreds of non-georeferenced images now make up rectified raster mosaic datasets for each community in Wayne County to use as a historical reference.
Bios:
Shaun Scholer has been working in the GIS industry for 18 years, serving as the GIS Manager for the Wayne County Consortium for the last 11 years. He earned a Master Degree in Geography with an emphasis in GIS from Indiana State University and is a GISP. Shaun has also been heavily involved with IGIC severing as president in 2010.
Gunty Atkins, GISP, is the GIS Coordinator for Wayne County working in the Surveyors Office. He is a board member of the Wayne County Historical Museum and interested in preserving local history.
