Layer Updates

We have just updated the layers showing the 4 local county-based framework layers and “Recreation Trails (IDNR)” to IndianaMap. If you are a frequent user of these data, please use the link below to access the Layer Gallery for free downloadable data and metadata, access the REST service URL, preview the data, or add it to your next custom map.

  • Address Points, Street Centerlines, Land Parcels, Misc. Government Boundaries (20151217)– The four layers that provide county-based framework data have been updated. The layers were compiled from data maintained by various county agencies in Indiana, as part of the IndianaMap Data Sharing Initiative between Indiana Geographic Information Council (IGIC), Indiana Office of Technology (IOT), Indiana Geographic Information Office (GIO), Indiana Department of Homeland Security (IDHS), Indiana Geological Survey (IGS), and all 92 counties of Indiana. NOTE: These layers are part of the TWENTIETH set of data harvested through the ongoing DSI program by IDHS from local government sources on December 17, 2015. These layers are provided “as-is” and have not been quality control checked for completeness, accuracy, or content, and should not be used for any official or business purpose. Be sure to read the full metadata for each layer.

  • Recreation Trails (IDNR), 20151207 – Shows trails and associated attributes of public, off-road recreation, and transportation trails. It includes trails managed by federal, state, and local governments, as well as non-government organizations. Provided by personnel of the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Division of Outdoor Recreation (20151207).
