Layer Updates:  We have added three layers showing Crops in Indiana from 2014, 2015, and 2016 (data supplied by the USDA, NASS)  onto the IndianaMap. We have also removed three older layers showing Crops for the 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011 growing seasons (still available for download). If you are a frequent user of these data, please use the links below to access the Layer Gallery to download data and metadata for each of these layers.

  • Crops, 2014 (1:100,000) – Shows categorized land-cover data produced using satellite imagery for the purpose of providing supplemental acreage estimates for major crop commodities in Indiana. The imagery were collected during the 2014 growing season. Derived from National Agricultural Statistics Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture. Intended for geographic display and analysis at the state level. Ground resolution is approximately 30 meters by 30 meters.
