USS (Unmanned Santa Systems) Excitement and Controversy at the North Pole

You just have to read this story…

by, Michael Hauck, North Pole Press Corps published in Photogrammetric Engineering & Remote Sensing, December 2014.  It’s a hoot, seasonal, plus very timely and well done!

But seriously, the December journal is a Special Issue including eight (8) articles on the “Advances in Unmanned Aircraft Systems Technology and Applications”.

The most notable quote in the Highlight Article by Bruce Quirk and Michael Hutt from USGS is well worth repeating…

” Not since the invention of the airplane or global positioning system (GPS) has a technology had such a disruptive and transformational impact on the remote sensing community.”

This issue is well worth taking a closer look at!
