GIS Specialist / Transportation Planner - Area Plan Commission of Tippecanoe County

The Area Plan Commission of Tippecanoe County (APCTC) is seeking to fill a vacant GIS Technician/Specialist position. Primary duties include creating, maintaining and managing street addressing and street centerline GIS data, assigning addresses to new development, correcting faulty addressing for existing development, assisting with management of other GIS databases and layers, designing and preparing maps and graphics, and managing the street re-naming process. Incumbent is also the ADA compliance liaison between the Metropolitan Planning Organization and local planning agencies, prepares ADA inventories and transition plans for smaller county jurisdictions, serves as transportation web administrator, prepares all Red Flag Investigations for long-range and federally funded road projects, and participates in special projects as assigned.
