The GIS Director position will be within the office of the County Surveyor. While this position will answer to the County Surveyor, beyond the development of digital cadaster methodologies (parcels, subdivision lot lines, applicable boundary layers), determination of the order of importance for projects with be the responsibility of the GIS Director.

GIS Data Harvest SME - Indiana Geographic Information Office (IGIO)

The Indiana Geographic Information Office (IGIO) data harvest is a collaborative project with Indiana counties to increase the availability of key data layers at all levels of government. The Data Harvest SME will be the IGIO’s top technical resource for all things related to the data harvest, including administration of the new spatial validation platform, the data schema and requirements, and the National Emergency Number Association’s (NENA’s) Next Generation 911 (NG911) data standard.
